Our Compliance Framework

Privacy & Information Security
Serenity is committed to protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and security of all information entrusted to the organization. Serenity complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), along with all applicable federal and state privacy and security laws.
While Serenity does not typically collect Protected Health Information (PHI) through its public website, any client-related information obtained during service delivery is handled in accordance with HIPAA requirements and organizational privacy policies. Administrative, technical, and physical safeguards are maintained to protect both electronic and paper-based records from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
Information is shared only with authorized individuals who have a legitimate business or clinical need to know, and only the minimum necessary information is disclosed when appropriate. Workforce members are prohibited from sharing login credentials and are required to secure systems and log out of applications when not in use.
All employees and contractors receive privacy and HIPAA training appropriate to their role. Any suspected or actual privacy breach, unauthorized access, or improper disclosure of information must be reported immediately to Serenity leadership or the designated compliance contact.

Protected Health Information (PHI) is accessed, used, and disclosed only as permitted by law and company policy, and only by authorized individuals with a legitimate need to know. All workforce members are responsible for maintaining the privacy and security of confidential information obtained through their role.
